Senior accountant

Under the supervision of the Financial Controller, the Senior Accountant is responsible for the complete accounting cycle for the four branches of IBS Tuboquip. Additionally, they will be accountable for providing the necessary financial information to the headquarters.

Role and responsibilites

· Preparing month-end and year-end files

. Conducting bank reconciliations and balance sheet account reconciliations

· Preparing schedules, tracking and recording fixed assets, depreciation, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and other balance sheet accounts

· Supervising accounts payable and accounts receivable

· Comptabilisation de travaux en cours

· Reconciling intercompany transactions

· Posting payroll and employee benefits

· Monthly analysis of GL accounts and reconciliation with subsidiary modules

· Generating monthly GST/QST reports and other government reports

· Adhering to reporting deadlines and month-end closings.

Profile

· Certificate / Bachelor’s degree (an asset) in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance

· Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a similar role

· Strong knowledge of Excel

· Experience in the distribution / manufacturing sector (an asset)

· Experience in personnel management (an asset)

· Bilingualism (French and English)
