January 2024: Mackenzie Milne and Varco Industrial Sales merge to become Mackenzie Industrial & Safety – Varco Vending. Leveraging their experience in safety equipment, cutting tools, tooling, and vending machines, they now offer their services jointly under the same banner in Ontario.
January 2024: With its seven branches in Ontario, SDI Supplies merges with Intercity Industrial Supply. A trusted supplier specializing in construction, SDI Supplies offers quality hand tools, hardware, safety products, and industrial supplies.
January 2024: Cutting tools and lubricants specialist LNR Tool and Supply joins Blue Point and Fremont, strengthening their positions on Long Island, New York.

In 2022 a new and stronger geographical impact with many synergies
In March 2022 FICODIS joins Descours & Cabaud, French leader and major player in Europe and North America in the distribution of professional supplies. With complementary expertise and shared values, this new partnership proves to be a decisive step in the implementation of the Group’s strategy to consolidate its presence in North America.
OPSIAL, a complete range of PPE is now distributed by all the companies in the group.
In addition to this announcement, FICODIS resumes its growth in the United States with the acquisition of a second company in New York State, Fremont Industrial Corp. Founded in 1984 and based in Long Island, this company specializes in the sale of safety products.<
July 2022: Acquisition of JMS, founded in 1984 and known for the design, manufacture and installation of all material handling systems (conveyors, augers…) and for the distribution of mechanical transmission parts in its region.
November 2022: Acquisition of HYDRAULIQUE C.L. which was founded 30 years ago and offers a complete range of hydraulic, pneumatic and hose manufacturing services in Abitibi, particularly in the mining field.

In 2021, two companies join the group:
- January 2021: With four branches in Val-d’Or, Rouyn-Noranda, Blainville and Montreal, IBS-TUBOQUIP specializes in the distribution of power transmission supplies and fluids , among others, the booming mining sector.
- September 2021: A recognized player on the North Shore of Montreal in the field of fastener and tool sales, CLOUMATIC makes customer service a top priority. CLOUMATIC supplies the construction and municipal sectors but also has a very diversified industrial clientele. CLOUMATIC extends its Lion brand to the entire FICODIS group.

MACKENZIE MILNE join the Group in 2020 and becomes the oldest company within the Group with 172 years of existence and allows FICODIS to be a major player in the safety market.

In August 2019, the Group makes its first U.S. acquisition: BLUE POINT TOOL & SUPPLY in Long Island (NY).

In 2018 and 2019, the Group resumes its acquisitions with the support of Fondaction and the Bank of Montreal:
- March 2018: the acquisition of ELITE TOOLS in Lévis gives the FICODIS Group real expertise with online sales.
- September 2018: FICODIS strengthens its position in Montreal and Toronto (Mississauga) with the acquisition of TRANSBEARCO Industrial and TRANSBEARCO Limited. This is also an opportunity to make its mark in the field of power transmission.
- The strengthening of the Power Transmission network continues with the acquisition of another major and recognized player in Toronto: RELIABLE BEARING.

2017 is a year of consolidation. VL INDUSTRIEL & D.F.I merge and move to the same building in Drummondville under the name VL-DFI.

2016 becomes a pivotal year for FICODIS and accelerates its market penetration:
- January 2016: acquisition of HT TECHNOLOGIES in Terrebonne specialized in cutting tools.
- August 2016: acquisition of OUTILS PLUS in Quebec City, reknown distributor of hand and power tools in Quebec City.
- August 2016: acquisition of TH PELLETIER in Lévis, a company recognized since 1921 for its expertise in pumps; its activities are integrated with those of PIQ to form PIQ-TH Pelletier.
- October 2016: acquisition of VARCO in Ontario (3 branches on Highway 401), recognized for its expertise in cutting tools.
- End of 2016: launch of the CROMSON brand whose slogan is: QUALITY, EXPERTISE, INNOVATION.
In order to support this rapid growth, FICODIS welcomes Fondaction and its capital as a financial partner. It was very important for the board of directors to welcome a partner that supports the local economy and shares its values.

In April 2015 the acquisition of PIQ (Pièces Industrielles Québec) in Levis adds hydraulic specialties and opens service to customers on the South Shore of Quebec city.
FIXACLOUS in Granby joined Ficodis October 2015 bringing real electrical tool expertise to the group.
FICODIS signs an exclusive partnership with the manufacturer MOLYDAL. A specialist in lubrication solutions, MOLYDAL is distributed in North America only through FICODIS companies.

In late 2013 and the beginning of 2014 the FICODIS Group moved into a new structural phase with the opening of the head office in August 2013, the creation of DFI in Drummondville in January 2014, and the acquisition of INDUSTRIAL SOLUTIONS in Ottawa in February.

The April 2012 acquisition of DELPAR in Granby marked the start of the group and the addition of VL INDUSTRIEL reinforced the strategy in October.
